WIPE DAY IS HERE
A fresh LOST PARADISE wipe begins today, October 1, at 2:00 PM Eastern, opening another full testing cycle as we continue pushing toward our official public launch on October 11.
This is not the first time the server has wiped, and players do not have to wait until October 11 to play. LOST PARADISE is live now, and anyone who wants to jump in, build, progress, explore the server and help us test is welcome.
The October 11 date marks the point where we intend to move from active public testing into our full public release.
A FRESH MAP AND ANOTHER TESTING CYCLE
Today's wipe gives us another opportunity to test LOST PARADISE from the beginning of a progression cycle instead of only looking at systems after players are already established.
That means watching everything from early building and progression to Raid World, Paradise Operations, bosses, events, Paradise Credits, the Skill Tree and the systems that players interact with throughout an entire wipe.
Every player who joins during this period helps us see the server under real conditions.
Sometimes that means finding a bug. Sometimes it means discovering that a reward needs adjusting, a system needs clearer instructions or something that worked perfectly in development behaves differently when actual players start using it.
That is exactly what this testing period is for.
THE WORK ISN'T ONLY HAPPENING IN GAME
Development has also continued heavily on LostParadise.gg.
The website is becoming the central home for the LOST PARADISE community, with server information, live statistics, player profiles, news, forums, guides, events, the store and other connected features being built and refined alongside the game server.
The goal has never been to throw together a basic website simply because a Rust server needs one.
We want the website, game server and eventually Discord to feel like parts of the same LOST PARADISE experience.
That work is still ongoing.
BEHIND THE SCENES
A large amount of the work happening right now is the kind players may never directly see.
Systems are being tested. Permissions are being checked. Rewards are being balanced. Interfaces are being cleaned up. Server and website integrations are being verified. Small problems are being tracked down before they become bigger ones.
Our staff has been putting a tremendous amount of time into that process.
The objective is not simply to have LOST PARADISE online by October 11.
The objective is to have a server that is stable, enjoyable, understandable and worth coming back to when October 11 arrives.
And development will not suddenly stop on launch day.
LOST PARADISE is being built as a long-term server. New content, improvements and adjustments will continue as the community grows.
YOU CAN PLAY NOW
If you've been watching development and waiting for the right time to try LOST PARADISE, today's fresh wipe is a good place to start.
Join during testing. Build a base. Explore the Hotel. Progress through the Skill Tree. Take on Raid World. Run events. Fight bosses.
And if you find something that doesn't seem right, tell us.
The feedback we receive now directly helps shape the experience players will have when the doors officially open on October 11.
